This position is in the Office of Structural and Technical Support, Field Operations, Gulf of Mexico OCS Region, located in Jefferson, Louisiana. The position is an advanced engineering position highly specialized in field development of natural gas and hydrocarbons, oil and gas operations; well completion practices and techniques, well remedial techniques and intervention, and the removal of GOM offshore structures with special emphasis son the plugging and abandonment of wells and associated site clearance of the lease.
The position requires a high level of professional knowledge and considerable hands-on experience in the areas of petroleum engineering in the evaluation of depleted oil and gas leases, well intervention techniques, as related to plugging and abandonment, and structural engineering as it applies to the removal and decommissioning of offshore platforms.
Jefferson, Louisiana, is a suburb of New Orleans, Louisiana. The city of New Orleans and the surrounding area are rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina in a steady effort to readily restore our cultural activities, health care facilities, educational resources, and etc. The cultural diversity of the citizens of the Gulf South is reflected in the rebuilding of a Greater New Orleans area that provides a safe haven for all citizens.
